Hear the stories, enjoy the produce!
Throughout the year, Sprout will host a series of culinary experiences, where we will showcase small Tasmanian producers and their locally grown or farmed produce. We will pair that producer with a local chef and restaurant who will work their magic on the plate, to make the produce shine and show us interesting ways to use the seasonal produce that is grown locally here in Tasmania.
Come along to our events and you will hear from the producer themselves, learn about their story, how they came to be on the land, and why they do what they do. You will also hear from the chef, who will talk about what they love about Tasmanian produce, how they use it and why supporting local producers is important to them.
Our next event in our 2017 Dining Series is being hosted by the social enterprise Hamlet in Hobart, on Thursday 13th July!
This event has been such a thrill to put together! Guests will experience an Extra Virgin Olive Oil tasting, from a variety of award winning Tasmanian groves which will then lead us into dinner with produce from Longley Organic Farm and Deep End Farm!
Book your seat at the table and be a part of the movement towards conscious consumption and conscious living (so aptly written on the Hamlet blackboard at the moment, and we couldn't agree more).
Cross Pollinate Conference
We know you've been keen to hear about Cross Pollinate for 2017 - and now we can tell you!!! We are hosting our conference this year at the Willie Smith's Apple Shed, in the glorious Huon Valley region of Tasmania. Sprout really connects to the ethos and passion of the Willie Smith team, and we can't wait to host Cross Pollinate in that amazing shed, with the farming history dripping from those rustic rafters!
Our theme for this year is 'Seed to Success'! The conference will be held over one day, with a variety of facilitated activities designed to be very specific to small producers and the challenges they are facing right now. This event will be grass roots, high quality and hands on! Bring your gumboots, and enjoy participating in healthy discussions and workshops, and finish the day off with our much loved long table dinner!
Save the date - November 6th, 2017! We will be in touch in the coming months with more details, and we will update our Cross Pollinate website.
Connect with producers and support Sprout!
