Fork to Fork News

Fork to Fork is finally up and running! Sprout is more than proud and exceptionally excited at launching this new online farmers market!

Set up by Sprout, Fork to Fork is supporting Tassie producers as they get their ideas to market and now to your plate!

Fork to Fork is connecting chefs and grocers to ethically grown Tasmanian products and within the next few months, products will be available to the household consumer within Hobart and surrounds!

The Fork to Fork community with help of Peacock and Jones, the newest edition to the Henry Jones Art Hotel, Hunter Street - launched Fork to Fork last week with a delightful tasting of some of Fork to Fork's latest produce.

Peacock and Jones proudly serve and advocate for Tasmanian produce and Head Chef Jeff Workman and team utilised local fruit, vegetables and meat supplied by Fork to Fork Producers, including Avoland, Drifting Farm, Rocky Top Farm and more. To check out the producers click here.

"Fork to Fork provides a win-win for everyone" said Dr Alice Percy (Sprout CEO).

"Producers in effect have their own retail store, and commercial customers are able to quickly look online and view what produce is available, where it is grown or raised and when it can be delivered to them. Customers can purchase from multiple producers in one easy checkout. Fork to Fork allows a direct connection between the producer and the customer."

With thanks to last year's successful crowd funding campaign, Sprout Tasmania were able to raise the start-up funds needed to establish Fork to Fork.

Chefs, grocers and Tasmanian producers are now invited to use the new online marketplace at or speak to Project Manager's Erika and Nysha at [email protected].
