Patrula Nayri – Cradoc – November
About this workshop
We are honoured to collaborate with Traditional Fire Practitioner Jason Andrew Smith of Patrula Nayri (“fire good”) and Leadership and Vertical Development Coach Steve Willing of Growth in Mind to deliver Weaving Good Fire — a hands-on cool burning and ecological stewardship workshop series.
Across two interactive sessions, participants will explore how traditional fire practices can care for and rejuvenate Country, and how fire connects with farming and ecological stewardship in today’s landscape.
What to Expect
The first session focuses on learning from Jason about traditional fire in Australia’s landscape and the hands-on application of cool burning techniques.
The second session invites participants who attended the first workshop to reconnect, reflect and share — exploring the relationship between farming, fire and ecology through peer-to-peer exchange and facilitated discussion.
Together, these sessions aim to build understanding, strengthen community knowledge, and weave new opportunities for agroecological workshops and learning networks.
Participants will engage as both learners and teachers.
