Cross Pollinate Tasmania

Cross Pollinate Tasmania is our annual conference, focusing on the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Cross Pollinate is Sprout’s annual conference, which gathers together small-scale farmers and supporters of a resilient and local food system to share ideas, feel connected and learn.

Ideas For Hope is a two event series with a diverse range of speakers, short theatre-style presentations, videos and panel discussions on a variety of topics that that aims to:

  • illustrate opportunities for farming businesses to thrive
  • inspire improved landscape management
  • enable positive personal outcomes
  • help communities to thrive
  • galvanise farmers to collaborate and support each other, which will in turn bolster capacity in the small-scale producer sector.

What do we mean by ideas for hope?

We are conscious of how easy it is to sit behind a desk and pose ideas. However we truly believe we have curated two events with the right speakers and topics to demonstrate real ideas for hope to farmers.

Farming is tough. There is no shying away from that. Amidst a year marked by unprecedented challenges for farmers of every scale, Cross Pollinate 2024 will redefine perspectives, encourage bold thinking beyond conventional boundaries, and, above all, instil a renewed sense of hope.

We have two events for Cross Pollinate 2024. Each is designed to be a standalone event and features a different line up of speakers. If you only make one event then fantastic, but if you make two then you get double the ideas and double the inspiration!

  • Event 1 – Sunday June 16 from 9am-5pm at UTAS Inveresk’s Workshop in Launceston
  • Event 2 – Sunday June 23 from 9am-5pm at Moonah Arts Centre in Hobart

You can purchase a single event ticket or a multi-event ticket.

  • $80 for members or $110 for non-members, for attendance at one event
  • $140 for members or $200 for non-members, for attendance at both events
