The Farmer

Alex and Laura make up the mad duo of Curated Wild Flower Farm.

Alex is a gunsmith, bus driver and our chief engineer. He is a creative, details man and always gets the job done. He takes care of infrastructure. He has built the numerous growing plots, the poly tunnel, the shed and the irrigation system.

Laura is the self-taught farmer, who became fascinated with soil health and biodiversity after growing their own food organically.

She then fell in love with flowers and discovered the multitude of blooms that can be grown in our Tasmanian climate most of the year.  She loves to share these  at a fair price.

We know that Flowers are part of human celebration – weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, appreciations, graduations – and memorials of a life finished.

We are passionate about being part of the local Tasmania producers. It is a healthier, more robust island where we are less and less dependant on transporting goods from the mainland or overseas. We love to provide our Tasmanian communities with access to flowers farmed ethically.

The Farm

We are currently growing seasonal flowers for  wedding bouquets and flower buckets for young brides.

We farm the no-till method. We hand-mix our soil amendments and regularly add compost to boost the soil nutrients.

We are continually expanding our range of flowers to bloom through most of the year.

Our future dream is to develop our land into a Pick Your Own flower farm, where locals can experience flowers before they are cut, packaged and transported off a farm.

Currently farming 1 acre of production space on our 15 acre farm in Montana, TAS.
