Low Stress Stock Handling & Nutrition Workshop

Ellendale – 4th & 5th November

Sprout Tasmania and TasFarmers are teaming up to bring you a practical, down-to-earth course designed to build your confidence in animal health and wellbeing. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen your skills, this three-day learning experience is all about giving you the tools you need to care for your animals and work more safely and effectively on the land.

What’s Involved

Over two in-person field days and one online session, you’ll get hands-on with the skills that really matter — with support from some of the best in the business.

Field Days with Nic Kentish

Nic is a nationally respected expert in low-stress livestock handling, and he’ll be right there in the paddock with you, walking through:

  • How to move and work with animals calmly and confidently
  • Infrastructure tips that make life easier (for you and your animals)
  • Ways to reduce stress, boost productivity, and improve safety

Why join us?

  • It’s hands-on, not just theory – you’ll be in the yards, not stuck behind a desk
  • You’ll learn from real experts who care about practical outcomes
  • It’s heavily subsidised, thanks to support from the Tasmanian Government
  • Numbers are capped, so you’ll get plenty of attention and support

Keen to Join Us?

Spots are limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid missing out. This is a great opportunity to upskill, connect with others, and feel more confident working with your animals.

We’d love to see you there.
