shared ground event series
Shared Ground is a series of regional gatherings that bring Tasmania’s small-scale farming community together to connect, learn and share.
Hosted by Sprout Tasmania, each event combines practical learning with meaningful conversation, creating space for producers to exchange ideas, build relationships and explore solutions to the opportunities and challenges facing farming in their region. From soil health demonstrations and producer panels to workshops and on-farm discussions, every Shared Ground event is shaped by local needs and designed to strengthen the resilience of our farming communities.
This event series is thanks to a grant received as part of the Regional Drought Resilience Plans Quick Wins grants.
shared ground – sandfly – an evening with Jodi roebuck
Sandfly Community Hall – Friday 24th July, 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Jodi Roebuck, from Roebuck farm in Taranaki NZ, is coming to Tasmania! Jodi is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with others, as he believes that every farmer should be able to have a stable financial income from their enterprise, to form the foundation of a robust local food system.
Jodi will run 4 sessions covering:
- Market Gardening – fast crops & consignment tips
- Regen grazing – low stress stock handling
- Agritourism – small scale
- Branding and Marketing – how to tell your story
There will be a 45min afternoon tea break between Sessions 2 & 3.
Sprout members and non members are welcome to these events. Ticket prices vary. All tickets include complimentary tea/coffee and afternoon tea.
