Update on Fork to Fork
In 2015 due to the generous support of the community we raised $30,000 from crowdfunding to develop Fork to Fork. The funding paid for the website development, one month of our Project Manager's time, marketing material, crowdfunding fees and the animation. For the last seven months, Sprout has been able to extend the Project Managers' contracts and we now have a fully functional and beautiful website where local producers can sell food to customers in Tasmania.
Erika Avellaneda Celis and Nysha Alexandria Munro have been absolutely instrumental to the development of the Fork to Fork site. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their dedication and passion to our mission which is to create a marketplace where consumers can purchase ethically produced, great tasting produce. We are also lucky to have a great team of volunteers and interns who graciously give up their time to invest in this worthwhile project.
Due to limited ongoing funding for Fork to Fork, the project will now be managed by a General Manager and volunteers. The General Manager will oversee and manage Fork to Fork as well as our other programs.
