Cross-Pollinate is an event, first held in July 2013, which gathers together food producers and food businesses, researchers, government, not-for-profits and consumers to share food and food production stories and ideas. The conference includes:
- an interactive day of discussions, workshops and brainstorming
- networking drinks
- a long table dinner showcasing the best of local Tasmanian produce
The 2016 conference was held in Hobart in August. It included a producer tour in the glorious Derwent Valley and the conference day was hosted by the incredible team at MONA, where we kicked on into night with networking drinks and our much followed Long Table dinner.
Cross Pollinate 2017 - "Seed to Success"
This year, we are so excited to host our conference down in the Huon Valley, a region that is now bursting with small producers doing incredible things. The team at Willie Smith's have stepped up as our venue partner for the year, which suits our aim for this year of getting back to our grass roots and really supporting the small producer! The Apple Shed will be a sensational venue, with the history seeping from the rafters and floorboards alike, it feels like a pair of warm arms enveloping you as you enter.
Save the date - Monday 6th November!
