Cross-Pollinate is an event, first held in July 2013, which gathers together food producers and food businesses, researchers, government, not-for-profits and consumers to share food and food production stories and ideas. The conference format is moulded based on our feedback from the farming community and has included workshops, panel discussions, networking drinks, farm tours and dining events featuring the best of local produce.
Cross Pollinate 2018 - "The Small Producer Puzzle - finding the right fit"
Saturday 6th October
This year, we are thrilled to take our conference to the North West coast of Tasmania, where we will be hosted by Guy Robertson on Mount Gnomon Farm. The format will include speakers, panel discussions and small group workshops and a tour of Mount Gnomon to hear Guy's story about how he started 10 years ago with 10 pigs. The conference will focus on how producers go about finding the right fit - for their business, for their property and for themselves as individuals! We know this will be a day of tangible benefits for all attendees, with open discussions, real skills and inspiring stories from those in the NW.
More information about workshop topics and panel members will be available soon.
